Familiarizing Yourself with the Panic Button can Help Keep you Safe
No one ever wants to find themselves at the center of an emergency, but unfortunately, unexpected and often scary events do happen. When they do, Atlanta residents have been able to rely on their Ademco alarm monitoring system. These residential burglar alarms are equipped with panic buttons so that you can notify the central station you’re connected that something is wrong to in a matter of seconds.
If you haven’t become familiar with the 911 features of your system, the time to do so is now. The owner’s manual provides an easy-to-understand explanation of the four types of emergencies that can be programmed. Hopefully, you never have to activate any of the features below, but in case you do, at least you’ll know what it will result in:
1) Silent emergency – Relays a silent alarm signal to the central station your technician has wired your system to.
2) Audible emergency – Sends a notification to the central station and produces a loud sound from your keypad and any other devices around the house that have been programmed to do this.
3) Personal emergency – The central station is alerted using an emergency message. A sound that is not a bell or siren will begin to play.
4) Fire alarm – Sends a fire emergency signal to the central station, a unique noise will begin coming from your keypad.
Of course, if you would like more information on these features, don’t hesitate to call the company who installed your system. If you aren’t satisfied with the service you’ve received, then consider contacting American Alarm.
