Two Fatally Shot in Northwest Atlanta, Shooter Loose
Unfortunately, as a leading Atlanta security system company, we hear about burglaries, assaults and shootings on a daily basis. These stories reinforce the point that when considering how to fortify your home against intruders, a home security system should remain an essential part of your plans.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported today that two people were fatally shot Wednesday on the 500 block of Holly Street, off Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway in northwest Atlanta. The shootings took place at 4:50 p.m. Police have not identified the shooter, who escaped before officers arrived at the crime scene.
Today, the victims were identified as Shonenneshia Tucker and Derrick Pitts, both residents of Atlanta, by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office. Both individuals died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Atlanta Police Officer John Chafee told the source, “At this time, investigators are working to confirm the identity of the suspect and locate him.” Investigators speculated that the shooting resulted from a domestic dispute.
Police described the suspect as a black male, approximately 28 years old, with a thin build who left the scene shirtless. Anyone with information about the shooting deaths should contact Atlanta Police Department investigators at (404) 546-4235 or Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-8477.
