Access Control
Access control systems use an electronic lock to keep a specific entry door closed until an authorized person “swipes” or presents his or her card/fob to the reader on the outside of the door. At that time, the door lock will momentarily release (unlock) so the person can enter. Then after 5 to 10 seconds the door will lock again.
Large companies ofter use access control systems to keep office personnel out of the warehouse and warehouse personnel out of the accounting offices, etc.
American Alarm does services the access control for some of the largest buildings in Atlanta. We can service many types of access control system. We are the Atlanta dealer for Sielox Access control system (formally Checkpoint) which manufactures one of the most cutting edge, enterprise access control systems on the market. We can install and service systems with up to 70,000 card users and unlimited card readers/door locks.
Access control is an option that is often overlooked by businesses as a way to secure a building or an area in a building and yet still allow access to authorized employees or customers. A lot of people think that access control is only for the larger companies but many small companies with 20 to 50 employees are now using small access control system to simply allow easy entry by employees while keeping solicitors and other undesirable people from entering the building with out and employee letting them in. These systems are much smaller and much more affordable than the enterprise lever access control system but they are invaluable to the companies that have started using them.
